STEPS Grand Winter Ball raises $170,000 for young people with disabilities

The Sunshine Coast business community have shown overwhelming support for STEPS Charity with over 450 attending the Caloundra Events Centre on Saturday for the STEPS Grand Winter Ball.

Each year the STEPS Charity put on an unforgettable event while raising funds to create opportunities for young people living with a disability.

This year’s Grand Winter Ball was no different raising a phenomenal $170,000 for their STEPS Pathways College.

With more than 150 local businesses donating prizes for silent auctions and over 20 local sponsors involved, it is the Charity’s most important fundraising event of the year.

STEPS Managing Director Carmel Crouch said the money raised from the event will assist in funding the ongoing needs of STEPS Pathways College, an Australian first paving the way to independent living for young adults with a disability.

“The College’s holistic learning model combines practical and actual living experiences to equip students with the confidence they will need to take charge of their independence,

We continue to be blown away by the generosity of our local community who help us take that next step to a brighter future for young people with a disability.”
