With a background in commerce, Brett Mills worked his way systematically through every department of the family business - Ken Mills Toyota Kingaroy - learning the detailed operation inside and out before becoming the dealership accountant. From here he moved to being a Management Accountant for the Soho Group, a post production media company based in London, UK and then became the National Business Planning Manager for Toyota Australia in Sydney before purchasing his first dealership at the age of 27.
Under his guidance as owner and Dealer Principal, the Ken Mills Toyota brand has flourished on the Sunshine Coast – doubling in staff numbers, investing over $10 million dollars into the Sunshine Coast economy through business refurbishment and expansion and has further raised, invested and sponsored local not-for-profit and sporting groups more than $750,000. The recipient of multiple business awards and commendations including Toyotas’ prestigious ‘Presidents Award’ for Excellence.
Brett has served as a Director of the National Toyota Dealer Association, chair of the National DOTCOM Sub-Committee and Chair of the National Parts and Service Sub-Committee. He currently sits as a member on the Sunshine Coast Business Council.
